Worldwide Shipping - What are the costs? What will make those costs reduce?
Shipping to all US and APO addresses is included in the baseline pledge. As of the kick-off of this project, we will need all international backers to pay additional shipping fees as follows: - Canada +$15 for 6x4’; + $10 for 4x4’ - Europe +$15 for 6x4’; + $10 for 4x4’ - Australia & New Zealand +$40 for 6x4’; + $30 for 4x4’ - rest of world +$30 for 6x4’; + $20 for 4x4 Please include this within your pledge $$$ amount for your pledge mat as well as for each add-on. While we will work with new distributors in strategic geographies, our ability to utilize them will be based on obtaining a minimum volume (to cover direct import costs to the distributor as well as distributor add-on fees). This minimum volume will vary based on location and distributor. We are banking on our ability to utilize our current European Distributor (‘The Polar Bear Trading Company’) and this is why the European add-on is just $15. When will Add-on’s Ship?
Our commitment is to get as many backers their first Mega Mat gaming mat on or before the committed time frame. As these mats are large we have a limited production capacity per month. We will prioritize shipments as follows: 1) Ship the pledged Mega Mat to each backer on or before the committed time frame linked to their pledge 2) Ship add-on’s to backers in the earlier pledge tiers first (so the backers with February commitments on their first Mega Mat will receive their add-on’s before add-on’s are shipped for backers with March, April, May, etc. commitments). 3) We will ship all Pledges and Add-on’s before retailing the Mega Mat gaming mats. A note about 4x4’ add-on’s - these definitely cannot ship earlier than March as, best case, these would come from our second production run (this second production run is throughout January with shipping to the US, customs, and receiving into our warehouse expected to take all of February). There is NOT a commitment that add-on’s for earlier tiers will ship before commitments for pledge Mega Mats in later tiers. Our ability to ship add-on’s will completely depend on what our total volumes are and the amount of incremental capacity, if necessary, we are able to bring on-line. How much do add-on gaming mats cost!
For each additional gaming mat you would like, simply add additional $$$ to your pledge. $90 for each additional 6x4’ gaming mat and $65 for each additional 4x4’ gaming mat. You will be able to select the theme(s) for you add-on within our post-funding pledge survey. International backers must add additional shipping for each additional gaming mat. What is the Pledge Survey? Why are there two?
At the conclusion of the KickStarter funding phase, your pledge levels will be locked. The next phase is to gather information about Where you want your reward(s) sent, What themes you would like, and any additional add-on’s (selecting size and theme)… This includes adding additional gaming mats and paying any additional costs associated with your pledge/add-on’s. We will be sending your TWO surveys. The First survey will just be to collect your shipping address information. This survey will be managed via the standard KickStarter survey tool. We will use this to plan our logistics. That said, if you need to change your shipping address later, you can do this within the BackerKit tool (our second survey). The Second survey will be the one on which you make all your detailed selections. This survey will be managed via BackerKit. It will allow you to go in and select the theme and size of your pledge reward as well add additional gaming mat add-on’s. For the add-on’s you will have access to any additional pledge $$$ you included within your original pledge. You will also have the ability to use a credit card to add additional funds should you need to for even more add-on’s. What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
